  7. shapes but become dominant 
  8. later on. Thus, after a lifetime

  10. experience, a straight visual 
  11. image might become a strong 
  12. cue to the presence of a straight 
  13. object. The proper experiment 
  14. would either be one with 
  15. infants or one with adults in 
  16. which they would be exposed to 
  17. the sensory conflict long 
  18. enough for a possible process of 
  19. reeducation to occur. Little 
  20. research with infants on this 
  21. problem has been conducted, 
  22. but research on adults does not 
  23. bear out this thesis.
